Workshop Details

Date: Thursday 1st May Time: 10am-3pm Cost: £145 Venue: Wiveton Village Hall, The Street, Wiveton. NR25 7BT As always at Reef Make & Do, refreshments as well as delicious homemade cake and two course lunch are included in your workshop day. Come and join me for another lovely, mindful day of willow weaving with local basket maker Karen Bek. Spend a day learning how to weave your own willow bird sculpture for the garden. You will learn how to make hoops and connect them with long rods to create the shape of your chosen bird and then infill the weave to create your unique garden sculpture. Birds can then be fixed to thick rods for sitting in your garden. These sculptures look beautiful in garden beds and on lawns and make lovely gifts. You can choose to make a pheasant, a curlew, a crane or a bird of your choice. * Please bring along a photo to refer to whilst you weave: this will help with getting your shapes right. All materials will be provided, however, if you have a trusty, much loved pair of secateurs then do bring them if you would like.
