Come and join us for this fabulous new marbling workshop with Anne Hickley when you will learn how to marble ceramic Christmas baubles (as well as practice on oodles of plastic ones which you can take home too! ) Anne is an extremely talented self-taught marbling artist and creates marbled papers and textiles, such as silk scarves, as well as adding her wonderful designs to other items such as leather. The morning will begin with a brief introduction to the art of marbling and how it works and then we will dive in to marbling a selection of different patterns on plastic recycled baubles. These will be absolutely lovely and of course you may take them home too but these are so you can practice the techniques and decide how you like to decorate the ceramic baubles later on. When marbling your 6 ceramic baubles the options are up to you. If you wish you can create a set of six matching baubles but please note these will be 'similar' rather the same as the marbled paint patterns will never be exactly the same. Alternatively, you can make six different patterns. Obviously we are running this workshop for Christmas but if you do not want to make festive themed baubles then you are welcome to use whatever colours and designs you like. There will be a huge number of paint colours including some metallic paints too so the options for your designs are almost endless and you will go away with six uniquely beautiful baubles to decorate your home.
