NR22 6BS I am so excited to be able to offer you this second brand new workshop learning joyful modern brush pen calligraphy with the fabulous Jen Roffe. Join Brush calligrapher Jen Roffe to learn how to create beautiful lettering using brush pens in this modern, relaxed and informal style of calligraphy. Modern calligraphy is creative and expressive way to create lettering - and using a brush tip even more so. In this workshop you will learn the calligraphy rules - and how to break them - to create your own unique, fun style with beautiful fine tip brush pens. It’s all about enjoying the process - and without having pots of ink to contend with, a whole lot less messy! You will learn the essentials of brush calligraphy - how to position yourself, your paper and how to hold then pen, and then start with beginner brush strokes and mark making. You'll be practicing alphabets, upper and lowercase letter forms, and then eventually joining them into words and phrases. Using the techniques you've learnt you will create your own hand lettered pieces that you can frame, pop up on a shelf, or give to friends and before long you’ll be creating gift tags for every gifting event in the calendar! All brush lettering materials are included and for you to use both in the workshop and take away with you so you can keep practicing and creating at home - and as well as guiding the whole class with demonstrations and instructions, Jen will be there to provide you with one-on-one tuition and troubleshooting any issues you may come across.
